*bows head in tribute*
I must have re-read that part 5 times before it really sunk in... the first time I read it I was like "...wait... what?" then, the next time "no... that didn't happen..." and it pretty much went on like that for the next few minutes until I finally believed what I was reading.

He - Is - NOT - Dead! I refuse to believe it and I read a very convincing editorial on cos forums that proves he is still alive.

I read one too. I still believe that Snape is EVIL but you know he might not be.... They said that Dumbledore must have been begging to just do it before he fell asleep(because of Draught of Living Dead in the bowl) Snape could have been saying Avada Kedavra in his head but thinking something else in his mind. You know like in the fourth book, if you don't really want one of the unforgivable curses, it won't work.
But then again, if he wasn't dead why would he have a portrait on the wall? I think he will speak to Harry in the portrait.

I think he's dead... But I did read the whole, it was Draught of the Living Dead in the bowl thing on COS, and it was very convincing, it really made me doubt what I think. It was so well written and well thought out, and it made a lot of sense!

This could all be a setup between him and snape..! I don't think he is evil, why would they have stressed silent spells so much that year if it wasn't a clue?

Well, there is always the chance that Dumbledore is alive, though it's admittadly unlikely.

Think like J.K Rowling.. what clues has she inserted before that could either lead to this or lead to the way she show a character's true colours.. Then we might be able to understand Snape more.

I've done that already, and it get's rather annoying after a while, due to the fact that she has left tons of clues pointing to the fact that Snape is truly good, but not only that, she has left tons of clues pointing to the fact that he is evil. JKR really has purposely left us clues to confuse and frustrate the heck out of us, not to mention make us beg for the next book for answers.
